Lone Tree School is a District that serves over 400 students PK through 12th Grade all in one building. The District is located 15-minutes southeast of Iowa City and 7-minutes east of HWY 218, exit 80. The unique setup of a one building school District allows for a close knit, family feel. With relatively small classes sizes, students have access to more individualized attention to support every child's unique learning needs. The Lone Tree District supports a number of students from outside the community as over 20% of our student population open enroll into our District, a number that continues to grow each year.
The District is broken into two "buildings'. The first being our Elementary which includes both PK3 and PK4. The remainder of the Elementary is grades Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Class sizes range range from the mid-teens to the lower 20's for each grade level. The second "building" which is our Middle School and High School, 6th Grade through 12th Grade.
