myPerspectives® (pending adoption)
myPerspectives® is a powerful, next generation print and online language arts curriculum that places students at the center of learning and gives teachers the right tools and resources, research-based guidance, and autonomy to do what they do best to support each unique learner. Relevant and diverse texts and media allow students to see themselves reflected in the stories and develop their own voice as they build knowledge and participate in the broader conversation. A built-in gradual release instructional model promotes ownership of learning, collaboration, and student independence. Students analyze texts through the eyes of a reader and writer and have academic discussions. They work on group projects, create their own compositions, and complete rigorous Performance-Based Assessments.
Reveal Math
The principles of Reveal Math® derive from the latest research on how students learn best—through productive struggle, rich tasks, and mathematical discourse. Reveal Math is a high school math curriculum that empowers educators to uncover the mathematician in every student through powerful explorations, rich technology, and timely and insightful differentiation opportunities. The unique approach of Reveal Math ensures students don’t just meet the standards—they master them.
OpenSciEd
The OpenSciEd Instructional Model uses a storyline approach – a logical sequence of lessons that are motivated by students’ questions that arise from students’ interactions with phenomena. To help teachers and students advance through a unit storyline, the instructional model takes advantage of five routines—activities that play specific roles in advancing the storyline with structures to help students achieve the objectives of those activities. The routines typically follow a pattern as students kick off a unit of study, investigate different questions they have, put the pieces together from those investigations, and then problematize the next set of questions to investigate. All three OpenSciEd High School courses have received top marks from EdReports, earning all-green ratings for quality, coherence, and usability! These ratings confirm that the materials meet the highest expectations for science instruction aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
Second Step® Middle School
Middle school is a time of change, growth, and life lessons. With Second Step® Middle School, you can help students communicate and collaborate, solve problems, make good decisions, set and meet goals, and process their emotions—skills they’ll use in the classroom and for the rest of their lives. Findings from two independent studies show Second Step Middle School improved students’ perceptions of school climate (teacher-student relationships, school belonging, and overall school environment) and, in one study, students’ English Language Arts course grades. In addition, students had 36% fewer office disciplinary referrals, 33–36% fewer suspensions, and 2.5 more days of attendance compared to students in the control group.
