For many years, Lone Tree Community School has used Thursday afternoons for teacher inservice. School has been dismissed at 2:00 PM on Thursday for the professional development of teachers. In an effort to find a time that does not conflict with games, meets, and other activities that are often scheduled on Thursday afternoon or Thursday evening, Lone Tree Community School is considering changing its scheduled inservice activities to another day/time. Please give us your opinion on the following options.
Leave inservice activities on Thursday afternoons at 2:00 PM. Early dismissal on Thursday is the best option. If teachers miss inservice, they miss! The solution is simple. Change teacher inservice to Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 PM since there are no games, meets, or activities on Wednesday anyway. Hold teacher inservice at 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Wednesday or Thursday mornings. School will then have late starts rather than early dismissals. The students will like it better! I don't care which we choose. Just decide soon.

Lunch money may be brought to either the MS/HS Office or Elementary Offices for deposit. Lunch will be $1.95 ($.40 reduced) per day and breakfast will be $.95 ($.30 reduced) per day. Every family has the opportunity to apply for free or reduced lunches. The Iowa Eligibility Application is attached below and should be completed in its entirety and returned to Colene Feldman in the Elementary Office.
